Anyone use hot water / steam to clean drives?

 I currently have a cold pressure washer that's not quite up to the job and was wondering if anyone uses hot water / steam to clean patios and drives etc?

The hot ones are expensive and don't have the same flow / pressure but must make up for it with the heat?

The steam might be good for uPVC cleaning too maybe?

Never used hot water but never thought I need it I have all ways used a Honda gx360 250bar

But also have a gx160 150bar that I all ways find is ok with the job

I would say its viable spending big money on hot washers if you do a lot of high paying commercial work. But for us we only do residential. We couldn’t justify using equipment that costs a fortune on domestic work anyway

Same for us the money isn’t there to warrant it

Don’t some of the steam machines run £4K-£14k

I use hot water karcher steam clean pressure washer. Book 3 patios drives etc and hire PW for 75 and crack on.
Cleans well b4 light softwash.
Even drop the chems in PW for softwash application. Off to next job whilst son brushes in and rinses off.
When I get to the last one I brush in and rinse off and we finish about same time
