baffled tank

    just bought 1000l ibc tank my plan is to fit it in my van just thought its not baffled
    did see some where you can baffle it yourself with balls whats your thoughts guys

    BALLS! :DAlso how are you going to secure it so it wont crush you to death if/when it should ever comes smashing through the bulkhead in a prang?

    there is secured clamps fitted in van going to strap it down will this be enough smurf

    I think it would cost too much (£675!!) as you probably need the smaller version to get them in the IBCs usually smaller inlet.

    I'm aware of an x member on here used kids soft play balls that he just used a soldering iron to put holes in each ball. Can't say from first hand experience if it would work that well to be honest but might be worth a shot.

    You would defo need a lot of balls to fill a 1000 ltr ibc for sure:D

    would it be dangerous just having it strapped down
    i remember that with the balls
    the tanks what wintecs are selling will they be baffled the flat 1000l

    Definitely. Going beyond 400L you should have it framed/caged & bolted to the van itself (not just floorboards)
    Tanks for sale will say if they're baffled or not & they are if you can see 2-3 large "holes" in the picture

    I heard of a guy who used cut down drain pipes stacked inside the tank but not sure of any other details
