Battery question

Been gifted a brand new commercial battery that was destined for a jcb telehandler obvs it’s not a leisure but it’s a big old beast, I know the plates are thinner for high surge vs leisure thick plates for low n slow.
Out of curiosity as I only have run leisure bats in both vans does anyone run a regular battery on a split or bat2bat charger?
My brain says it should be ok as it’s constantly on charge when driving between jobs & not so much draining just running a pump?

For free it's worth a try, just keep your eye on the voltage. It's tricky to gauge if you are using b2b or split charge relay but just make sure it's above 12v and you should be fine.
Best to mains charge each night.

One of the now retired local lads had 2 batteries that he swapped each day. One was a leisure battery and the other starter battery.
The leisure battery lasted him 6 months longer. He got 2 years from the starter battery.
