Hi All,

i've recently received all my gear and am going to get the filters set up in the garden this weekend .

I am looking to buy a Keter garden storage unit to house the filters , what is the best way to insulate this from the cold and attach the filters to the unit?

Does anyone have any examples of how they have set up the back of their van with a trolley and 25L drums because as my van currently stands they will be flying around all over the place and obviously i don't want that.  I have an Astra Van with a Nano Trolley & Gardiner pole.

Thanks in advance.

Kelsey

Celotex insulation boards or similar are the best, but polystyrene sheets can be just as effective. Can pick them up from wickes. I also recommend a small electric heater on a thermostat to keep the frost off. an 80w tube heater will do the job nicely.

I have all my filters mounted to a piece of ply fixed to the back of my cabinet with a few batons where required.

Astra's are a bit of a pain with barrels as you ideally want them secured up against the bulkhead, but this'll mean reaching right in to swap them over. a small tank would be easier. however a decent ratchet strap through the handles of the barrels and the load eyes should be sufficient to secure them. a decent bungee cord or 2 will hold the trolley in place, and a tube in the roof is the best place for the pole.

Thanks mate that's very helpful!

This is why I love my Primera. Everything fits in like LEGO. It's like it's made for the job. Mind you, I've opened and shut the boot so many times in the last 10 years I busted a boot hinge today. Called my local Nissan dealer and got the shock of my life. £160 for a new one. Needless to say I'll not be buying it from there.

Plastic cabinet with 2" insulation inside and also insulated the same outside.. this is in a sheltered area outside back door.
