Having a different brush for coni roofs and gutters

Firstly, how do you clean your brush on the job? I just run my fingers through the bristles and how clean does it need to be?

I got this brush from Gardiner- (forgot what it's called) I use it for everything- so gutters then run fingers through the on the glass is this too dirty? Shall I get another one?

My old brush I keep for gutters, then just swap it for glass
