can i use a polytank aka loft water tank for window cleaning?

The only thing you could use it for is after r/o water storage. You certainly can't use it in a van or car.

A loft header tank doesn't have any baffling and just has a simple snap on lid to keep dirt, dust and insects out of the tank. I fitted one over the Easter weekend this year. The 'plastic' walls of the tank are a lot thinner than say a Wydale tank. The plastic a 1000 litre IBC tank is extremely thin, but it has a steel cage to support it.
