I seem to remember reading somewhere about someone saying that their battery for running their WFP pump was a cheap 2nd hand car battery. Can a car battery work instead of a leisure battery? Does it depend on the amp rating?

I have always used car batteries. I go down my local motor factor and they give me a couple of old battery they have in the cage, as long as they are not completely dead they work fine.

Of not just buy a large capacity new battery and buy a split charger, they work out cheaper than leisure batteries.
