Chlorine etc

This has probably been asked but I can't find anything in specific.

I use DI only as am lucky to have a low tds

I fill straight from my tap into the van tank then purify on demand through 2 vessels

The thing I've been wanting to ask is would running the water through a set of pre filters before the tank also help extend the life of my resin by removing any chlorine etc? I understand it won't actually lower my tds but just wondered if removing these elements may help

Yes I think it would as like dave said the American do it this way.
I have watched Keith kalfas on YouTube and he does it this way in America

That's what got me thinking about it. That and the fact that Chlorine and other rubbish in the water knackers R/O membranes, hence the pre filters.
I've already put a sediment filter on my fill line as I have no faith is south west water!
