We have at least 5 days worth of customer Christmas clean requests this year.

I would appreciate your thoughts when you would start to clean these customer requests this year?

I started during the last week before Christmas last year and really struggled to complete the list due to the weather. I started this week, although not in earnest. The only appointment I could get for my van's MOT was on the 19th. (The van is over 3t so class 7. There is only 1 MOT inspector who can do class 7 vehicles in our area.) He told me that if the van fails, he can't repair it until after the new year. So I need to take this into consideration.

Do you mean existing regular customers or people who have just phoned you for a one off clean for Christmas?

Regular customer requests that we do each year @Septimus Meek .

We learnt many years ago that new customer enquiries for a regular clean in December would mostly end up to be a once only Christmas clean. So any new enquiries in December can only be done next year. Amazing how quickly they decide that they will find someone else when we tell them that.

Had one get upset and started swearing at me once. We don't want that type of customer on the books anyway.

It sounds like too much to manage if you and your lad are busy enough. I wouldn't put yourselves through the extra chew and stress. If you have the time, do them as you see fit, but I wouldn't push it more than needed.

Considering your situation with the mot I'd just explain the situation and do them as of now. It may be a bit earller than some of them wanted but if your van fails the mot they won't get them done at all. If they can't appreciate that then personally I wouldn't want them as customers.

Fortunately I've only had a couple of 6 week customers suggest doing them before Christmas (making this a 4 weekly clean). I haven't made promises to anyone else and very likely there will be folk due that I'm just not going to get to before Christmas. Such is life.
I'm keeping the one 6 weekly Christmas clean request sweet as I always get a coffee & a chocolate bar 😉. Simple pleasures in life.

i just get round as quick as i can this time of year is very hetic we had a huge storm last weekend and ive had people texting every day asking if ill get to them before xmass eve i tend to not book people in just try get round quick its still stressful as i dont like letting people down but i work as a sole trader and only have one pair of hands

Normal routine as usual apart from one large stand alone clean that have requested an early clean. I don't mind as it's a first job of the day clean(and it's £50 for 30 mins work).she will tip me too so ill clean it next Thursday (which is my last working day until Monday 6th Jan)

I had an enquiry the other day and went to price up today(I clean their neighbours across the road).I told her I wouldn't be able to clean hers before xmas

1.She wasn't in and promised to leave gate unlocked(she didn't!)

2.I looked over the gate and there were 3 dog muck piles right on the path!🙄

Absolutely no way will I be taking her on as a customer!Very nice area and large 4 bedder but I'm not wading through dog muck with my hose.

I used a green pro quote!😆

I'm sorry Zoe but you don't fit my customer profile!🤣🤣🤣👍
