Hi all,

On Tuesday I will be cleaning a large house with an Atrium. I don't have water fed pole at the moment. I think I will be OK doing the exterior with getting onto roof and using my Ettore Flip on a pole and angle adaptor for the outside. What I'm unsure about is best technique/tactics for cleaning the inside of the Atrium. Its a single storey house, with the Atrium rising higher than the usual single storey roof height. It should be reachable with step ladders and short pole. I'm thinking Wagtail on a pole on step ladders. Any experienced opinions greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks, Neil.

Use a long pole with an adjustable angle adapter

Step ladders are dodgy and easy to have a fall

Better if you can do it all from the ground inside

Make sure you can chuck a scrim on your pole quick for detailing as inside windows tend to dry more rapidly than external.

Also what's the floor? Hardwood = cloth to mop up drips. Rug = Move out of way and mop drips off of hardwood. Carpet = Cheap painters tarp from B&Q to avoid getting mess on carpet.

Get some pics sounds like an interesting window.

Good Luck.

The pitch on the roof (old house was too steep for my liking) I ended up declining to do the outside of the roof and knocked $100 off the bill. Thanks for all the advice. A difficult job and working the attore flip pole horizontally was heavier and harder than I imagined. I hadn't used the wagtail at this point, but would have been much lighter on the pole. The inside roof glass was filthy. Like black tar coming off. I put the extension ladders onto the support beams and squeegeed the inside by hand. Thanks for all the advice guys!
