I have just started cleaning the windows of this customer and she would like her conservatory roof cleaned every 6 months or so.

I thought it would be fairly straight forward as it isn't all that bad. Anyway, I went to clean it today. The height of the conservatory caught me out as I could not really get an angle on the roof with the wfp.

Is anybody able to give me any tips on how to clean this?

I need to return back tomorrow or Monday to have another go, but made myself look a real tit today!

It should be OK, if you have a pointer even better as you can rest it on the frame.

No I don't have a pointer I am afraid, Steps at the front make it awkward and the uneven ground at the side won't make it easy to set a ladder up.

Looks like a pig of a job does that. No slope on the roof = lots and lots of wasted time and water rinsing.

Price accordingly or you might get stung.

I was using slightly harsher words to describe it earlier. I was just building up my confidence and this has put me back to square one, felt like a real tool today haha.

    Another bash tomorrow.

Out of interest what would you be pricing it at Tuffers?

Looks like glass, £70? Depends how much you value the customer i.e if you might lose them if you go in too high. I've lost regular window cleaning contracts in the past when I've priced add on work too high.

Thanks Tuffers that gives me a ball park figure to move forward with. I feel I get my windows pretty much spot on but the add-ons I really don't have a clue on and in all honesty I really don't want to do them.

I might look to find somebody to pass them onto and hopefully will give me a better chance of keeping the customer.

I wouldn't, the custy may decide to switch to them as they can do everything, just crack on with it. My rule is 5-10 a panel depending on the state of them and an extra tenner if they have finials. Gutters are 15 a strip just to clear 20 just outside and 25 in and out, 25-30 for an apex. I get good money and its not too expensive, and I make a point of doing them a 'deal'. For example if its a £60 gutter and £50 Conny I'll ad a tenner onto my quote then tell them I'll knock 20 off if they done at same time, I don't lose out and they feel special
