Recoating Gardiners Poles

I was just wondering if any of you know if you can re-coat Gardiners poles with some sort of spray or something to bring back the shine and make it look new again? Any ideas?

Look at the comp video thread in chat mate at damo's entry. They do it with all there's and the one I have was done by them.

Great Video! But Michael really made me laugh he sounds like Len Goodman from strictly come dancing! Seven!!

Great tip(s)

I'd used epoxy resin before, thin smear of it then use a scraper blade to remove most of it, but this seems better because of the 'no black hands'.

Spraying engine laquer on the outside of the pole won't stop 'black hands' syndrome unless you find a way to spray the inside of the sections as well. It will reduce it but won't stop it.
