I cleaned Trad method for 16 years and fair play to anyone who continues to use the method nothing wrong with that. Recently I've been getting a lot of work on Facebook, there is another window cleaner who posts on the particular Group Page I use, he cleans windows Trad but uses poles for Fascias and Con Roofs he charges £20 for a Con Roof £20 to clean Fascias and £20 all round to empty gutters, after the latest add I put up he replied to me saying wfp is cr@p he cleaned his own windows 100 times with pure water and they always spot and the method is s***, this caused many reactions from me including me saying he doesn't know what he is doing? I reckon the frames are dirty got fed up of him and asked him if he wanted to see my windows but got no reply then I blocked him. :bangheadwall:

The problem with old school tradders is they are very sceptical about wfp

I was guilty of it myself after nearly 25 years trad

Although i never bad mouthed it in public as that is not right as people have been successfully making a living with it for ages

Once i tried it though i could instantly see the benefits and switched to wfp tops and all leaded and georgian windows

Leave him too it mate as your customers will know it works and recommend you regardless what he says on Facebook

When Squeegy came along I suppose people wanted Chamois back progress is hard to sell this windy kept banging on about that he'd been doing it for 30 years, funny though I love the saying doesn't mean you've been doing a good job for 30 years it takes 2 of us 2 to 3 hours to do a Con roof he's charging 20 quid

I must add when we do a Con roof we do the Conservatory windows and frames and outer gutter the complete external conservatory.

An average conservatory roof including the windows etc takes me about an hour and a bit

It's all about letting the chemicals do the hard work

Did a 6 panel lean to style one with 2 openers in 20 minutes Wednesday morning

Sprayed on chems and worked it in with the brush

Had some crisps

Rinsed with flow on full

Perfect

I use the screwfix stuff as it doesn't ever stain anything and i use it strong

About a third of a 5l tub in 25l drum of pure

We find it painstaking rinsing bits off the panels but we do do them to a very high standard no bits whatsoever.
