I keep thinking of different ways to get new customers, does any of you fellas us any out of the box techniques to get work apart from the obvious, knocking or flyers.

What works for you and what doesn't.

I'm not a pro but

knocking on doors

flyers are the most common as we all know ( not often do i get a window cleaning flyer thro my door tho tbh lol)

website

gumtree

ebay

i'm going to try

a mass flyer drop

sign boards is places where you have to pay near petrol station or supermarkets ( i found 1 and it costs around £100-200 a year depending on the size of the board)

also a company near me send out 40k of local bussiness booklet only 2 or 3 pages in size and a add in there costs £100 for the run of 40k and thay run this every 2/3 months so iv agreed to be the only window cleaner in there :]

i think its just a case of getting your name out there tbh mate more people who know the better

if all else fails get to knocking i dont have time to atm with working my paye job and doing the windows so need to try these and see where it gets me in the next 2-3 months

but i'm working towards a 2 year plan so if i hit my target to get 150-200 customers by the end of the tax year 2014 i'll be a happy boy :]

whats worked best for you atm ?

i have a small folder with me when i go canvassing with before and after pics to show the potential customer the quality of work you do and its a great help to sell your services it also makes you look more professional imo
