cutting rubbers up for squeegees?

I cut my squeegee rubbers with a chisel, find my scraper not strong or sharp enough. find it hard to get a perfect cut, does this all look ok in photos? Also, how long before you change yours?

I find razrblade very hard to cut. Feels soft, but it's like leather or something. I use a brand new 4cm blade to cut

I use a knife on my multi tool. It's razor sharp, does a good job.

I used to use my scraper but got sick of snapping the rusting blade and then having to swap that out at the same time(why the hell don't they make scraper blades out of something that doesn't rust....hmm, a plastic scraper blade...now there's an idea)....anyway, now I carry a sharp pair of scissors in my odds n sods box.

any luck with finding a scraper that you can actually change the blade in...

Wilkos for a small scraper Dave..plastic with the standard small blades.. 1 pound something and comes with 5 blades

I just use scraper whatever rubber I'm using, pound ones from maplins, take standard 2 inch blades.

I do struggle to cut straight with scraper blades when cutting razr blade rubber, wish there was a guilotine or a vice thingy that would hold rubber completely still to cut, just want to use an ax sometimes

Same as dodger. Maplins for a nicker. You can change the blade in them to.

I also got a plastic one. Find them not as effective but not bad & don't rust.

scissors sounds the easiest, won't these bugger up the rubber? What scissors do you recommend?

My garden scissor has bolt cutter action so i goes nice and smooth through every rubber and perfectly straight, i would highly recommend :thumbsup:

Its also lockable. Dont know were to get one in uk but i am sure someone is selling them a diy store of some kind.
