I'm talking about the uni valve...tugging on the pole hose is causing the jg fitting to leak..

Get rid of the jg fitting and connect your pole hose straight to the univalve. Thats how I did it.

While you're at it, dunk your pole hose in a cup of boiling water for twenty seconds or so and it makes it much softer and easier to wiggle onto the univalve fully.

Why use a John guest just connect the pole hose to the valve and o clip it?
    Less joins=less leaks

All my different stuff including softwash backpack and all hoses etc are all joined with pushfit
    Perfect connections and no leaks
Peanuts to replace also unlike rectus which I find unreliable

I use push fittimgs for loads of stuff but there not designed to be constantly tugged on and disconnected
But there cheap and that's why I use them as hose less pole connector
Reason I said why use? is there is no need to on pole
Hose reel to univalve/univalve to brush why the John guest?
