Dinner fork?? to remove plastic panel cilps??

    Know this is not related to cleaning windows.
    Just recently had the handle on the tailgate of the van jammed could not open.
    So had to take trim panel off back to be able to free up the jammed handle.
    Maybe help anyone else that have this happen to.
    All carmakers use plastic panel clips (also known as snap-in retainers. Have a Toyota Hiace Van there were plastic clips holding hard board panels at the back of van.
    Had to remove the hard board panel on the tailgate to get to the handle to free it up (IT HAD JAMMED UNABLE TO OPEN TAIL GATE.)
    So made a clip removal tool to take these out using a modifided dinner fork.

    Or buy a trim fork from local car spares shop
    Only a couple of quid and removes other bits of trim easily too

    Yer you could but this was easier to do seconds cost nothing plus bend back good to go for dinner!!! :laugh:

    oh they never go back the same them panels....great idea ..

    one day cheapy may have a window which goes up and down again so he doesnt have to get out of the car at maccy ds.....:D
