    Hi guys

Posted under traditional too,as looking for recommended gear there but also about to buy a water fed backpack.

Read the big boy review and it looks a great kit, then seen the below spec being sold on eBay

The 'Big Boy' Backpack - 22L
    With Charger & Flow Controller
    Renegade 25ft Aluminium Pole
    Anti-Snag 6mm Hose Tail Adapter
    Angle Neck Adapter
    Claber® 8mm Aquastop Hose Connector
FaceLift Phoenix 11" Lightweight Brush Head
    Complete with Pencil Jets

Only concerned re pole length as wanted to do solar panels, guess can look into that later or will this reach most safely with ladders?

All for 250 quid I think,is this worth purchasing for a start up?

    Safely with ladders?

Id get a 40 foot pole at least for panels, even that won't be enough for some jobs.

I'd get a gardiner backpack and clx pole to start with.
You'll want s sturdy sack trolley too, about £30.

    Thanks Mark,

Just I'd read on here about some people using ladders to bridge the gap in height but yeah makes sense to get a larger pole to start with!

where do you think would be best to buy these parts and any particular models?

I've been told by a reliable source that a 60ft pole is required to do Solar panel work comprehensively I've ditched the idea for the moment until I get some assurances on safety.

I have a 55ft pole and have not been able to do some panels from the ground with it.

Dont get a alloy pole mate, spend a bit more if you can on a good carbon pole, its well worth the investment and will pay dividends as you grow. Check out Xline Systems, they do some great poles at all budgets.

    That'd decided then guys,

Now have my unger kit ordered for traditional cleaning and after some working/practice I will get a minimum 55 foot pole and wf kit for awkward jobs/solar work

    Cheers
