Just starting out and was wondering what everybody main expenses are. I'm only going to be doing this part time around my other job so not 100% sure on the ins and outs of the business side of things in this industry.

How much water do you use a week and can any of this be claimed back on expenses?

How much is an average liability insurance quote?

Also how many houses do you have on your rounds? Doing this part time, I'm looking at 3 days a week trade.

Being new, speed will be slow. What sort of time should I be aiming to complete a house?

And if you have any other advise, popular mistakes by new people or information you could possible share, please do.

Thanks

Nathan

Any cost you incur doing your work, is an expense and can be claimed against your business. The only exception in your case is your vehicle which will not be wholly work, so you would claim 'mileage'.
