I filled my DI to bottom of neck then added pure water, when I pushed the riser tube down the resin seemed to make it difficult to get it to the bottom and so screw the head on properly, is it a case of just forcing it? Also the resin got into the threads. Any tips on this? I used a gutter hopper as a funnel.

I usually half fill then put the thr riser tube in
I then put a cloth in riser tube to stop resin going in
I use a homemade scoop out of a robinsons bottle push the riser to one side and fill with that simples

I fill it up as normal and push the riser as far as I can then jiggle the DI and push down on riser until it reaches the thread. But before you do that, just hose the outside down to get rid of any resin on the DI.

You got to keep shaking the bottle as you push it in

push riser tube in when empty , stick two bits of tape over the hole at the top of the tube to stop resin going down tube , put funnel over that and inside the vessel , fill until full

top back on and just let it fill up no pushing , tipping water in or any of that done in less then 3 mins

It just cleans it up around the rim so you can close it properly. The resin is not harmful to skin :)
