Pressure washer won't suck from water butt

Hi, wondered if anyone knows the problem. I have a pressure washer which I got is a kiam, but however I try cannot get it to suck from a water butt properly.

Even if I bleed it like the support from where I got it from said to do, i still get the problem.

The water comes thru to the pressure washer okay for about a second then loses pressure, then eventually comes thru again for another second an loses pressure again, straight away..

Maybe some thing isn't setup right or I'm doing something wrong any ideas...

Although, when near a tap with good pressure if I connect direct to tap works okay.

Any ideas would be really helpful..

Hi, its the 3400p one: 3400psi an 15l per minute

Do you have a pressure valve on the pump?

Sounds like you do have air in the system

Whilst someone is holding the lance trigger open and shut the pressure valve

Usually sorts it
