They are good! lol

Took delivery today, had finished all my work though so only got to try it out on my house, and then not for long as it poured down with hail!

Weighing it in my hand with my old fibreglass xtel (20ft) in the other, I could tell it was lighter, but didn't seem massively.

BUT- then I extended it & used it to clean my windows & man can you tell the difference when using it! Been getting a slight pain in my right arm lately, but didn't get this when using the slx, great stuff!

I love the fact that the resi-neck quick release adjuster has been moved to the underneath of the neck, as the pole hose used to get in the way of my old one, this is no longer a problem.

I think it might be easy to accidentally open the clamp for the resi-neck instead of the 1st section...so will have to watch this. But something I'll probably get used to!

My only worry is dropping it or something! lol Seems too nice to use!

My pal just told me that Gardiners used to have a video of them driving over one, so shouldn't have any worries there!

Having some work done on the house tomorrow, so I'm not working- Doh! Never thought I'd say that..but can't wait to try it out for a full day's work on Monday.

Will update when used it properly.

Yep. I used to have a xtel 24ft which just about reached my 3rd storey stuff...so the slx-25 should be perfect.

Alex Gardiner said he designed the slx-25 with this in mind...light enough to use all day on normal work...but had enough reach for those 3rd storey windows we all have every now and then.

Great stuff mate! I'm on my third week with mine and can't believe how much of a difference it's made. Another thing to thank this forum for as I hadn't heard of Gardiners before. Happy days!

yes, had mine nearly a month. windows over extensions or conservatories that I used to severely strain or need a ladder to help get closer I can breeze thru now.

I moved up from 18 foot xTel, so haven't noticed weight saving. had I used a 25 foot fibreglass sure I would notice then! lovely pole.

it feels similar, can't remember exact spec. the huge length of pole hose was doing my head in so after recommendation on forum bought role tidy, which is ideal, but adds to the weight of the pole.

love the strength of it tho, going back to the xTel my wife uses feels like a soggy celery lol.

Ha I know I was showing my pal my slx today & we compared it to the xtels fully extended...feels horrible to use. What's a role tidy mate? Any links?

sorry, predictive text error, should have said hose or pole tidy.

found it to be lifesaver, hadn't realised how much pole hose would be with longer pole!

super mck

i asked that on post 2 lol /emoticons/tongue.png

ya thay are fine

i use a 24ft atm for 3rd story work at a slight stretch but only got 8-10 jobs so stick with it atm

25ft would be nice :]

25 foot more than adequate. I did wonder about getting a 22, and at first wished I had. but unless it's a big Victorian house you can get 3 storey easy enough (unless your a midget, I'm 6 foot 1) /emoticons/tongue.png
