heres a tip worth remembering when its approaching renewal time. Do your ringing round early to get other quotes ,at least 3 weeks before the deadline. why? because insurance forms have now taken to debiting bank accounts a fortnight or more before the deadline
They say thats because if it turns out you have insufficient funds it gives them time to tell the insured to get his money together
i personally think its very sharp practice to automatically renew your insurance so far ahead of time. its then too late to get other quotes - oh they say you can get a refund if you get a better quote but pound to pinch of muck its aggro to get it
its only the last couple of years this has started happening,prior to that if your insurance ran out well its was your lookout but the advantage was you could pit one insurance firm agenst tother in the fight to get your business
