Gardiner SLX 18 Reach Gutters?

Evening all,

Anyone that has the SLX18, can I ask, will it reach standard residential first floor gutters with no extensions to reach over etc?

I have an 18ft phantom that reaches gutter height, so I think you should be able to with your slx18 ?

Depending on what you call standard height then yes it will but quite often won’t reach the top of the eaves .

If you have an 18 footer it will probably do. I started with fibreglass of that length and managed on two storey houses. If you have a pole of that length make it do for now but I'd be planning for an SLX22 in time, you wouldn't know yourself. ?

So I currently have a SLX25, that’s great but I was thinking of getting the SLX18 As well as it’s lighter and might make cleaning the gutters just slightly easier being lighter. Plus use it for ground/1st floor windows.

I'd still go for SLX 22. The difference in cost and weight between that and the 18 won't be much but it would be a far more useful pole: the extra reach as Pjj says for eaves and for also reaching over conservatories, extensions and getting to velux would be a delight. Another big plus is that it will collapse down to a shorter length than the 25 for working in tight spaces and stowing away.

Please let us know what you ultimately decide and how you get on with it, I find feedback very interesting, I'm sure others do too and it helps newcomers doing their research. ?
