gardner grit stop

WCF

Help Support WCF:

They do look good and I considered buying one when they first  came out, But I have been using my Xtreme and add on sections without end caps for over 6 months now and have found I am getting less issues with dirt and grit than when I had a end cap on base section and when i say less in fact virtually zero issues.

wich size extreme pole did you get m8 and how is it after 6 months were wise and how many hours work does it get a day? , ill be geting a extreme pole next for shore 22ft will be idel for me

I have been using an Xtreme 22 since last Dec and found it so far to be excellent. I’m not heavy handed but it gets used three to four days week and it is in constant use all day as my round is very compact. I also close windows with it though this is done only by pushing forward on the pole not downwards. If a window can’t be shut this way I adjust the angle of the brush and clean it as it is.  I also have very few problems with grit getting in the pole.  Don’t know why, just seldom does.  Most of the problems I had with RSI have disappeared as well

Removing end caps does help with trapped dirt. However the downside is the potential impact damage that can lead to splitting of the base of these unprotected sections.

I have had my 22ft  almost 2 years so its got metal bands with two sections been replaced one with the a new X3 section  and one with a Slx section.

Yes I am aware of the issue you mention but using my 22ft Xtreme X2 as my daily pole it has the insert which protects the base section, Then I have a small wrap of black electrical tape around round the base just like the stop tape on the sections
