I know you might think this is a bit funny, given you can buy ambidexterous boabs etc. But this really is quite good. Very small and light (I also shortened the bucket so the applicator is a few mms from the bottom).

One thing I never realised about the classic was how there are more things than you'd think are bias to right hand that have to be switched over. Also that the centre of gravity need to be slightly offset with the clip (recommend anyone locking the swivel to do this, even on the moerman/ninja boab etc) I still need to use the palm sander though, it looks a bit rough at the moment

how did you seal the base?
You cut the bottom of the bucket off, then you apply super glue round the rim of the bottom of the bucket where you've just cut. Then place it down vertically onto the sheet of acrylic/whatever you can find, hold it down hard for a few minutes. You can pour a few drops of liquid super glue carefully into the bottom of the boab, when tilt it around so the drop coats the edges, then dust baking soda into the bottom of the boab and sift it around a bit. Also dust it around the outside on the edge. Blow the excess baking soda away.

When you've sanded in the shape on the outside, you can apply more super glue and keep dusting in baking soda, then sand when dry, repeat until done.

I wish they did make shorter boabs for 14inch applicators. It would mean less dipping in the main bucket, and spraying with the bottle. I don't like too much in the bottom of the boab as most of it seems to end up on my leg.

View attachment 4603 I cut my boab wagga style for my wagtail and went a bit ott with it

Now the wag falls out the side

Worked for a few days with the wag in my hammer loop on the belt and is a lot lighter working without boab but my leg keeps getting wet

Any ideas my jaguar about how to convert my ninja to a wag boab??

View attachment 4604 id think thered be a market for "a bubbler" . a small airpump [ex aquarium?] mounted on your belt pumping a steady stream of air via a small tube into the base of the BOAB

I'd probably have a few ideas up my sleeve alright, if only I owned a wagtail. Reading about your experiences with it, I may decide to pick one up myself. I'll maybe get back to you over the next few weeks.

Just one idea I can think of, off the top of my head....

The wagtail is too wide for a ninja bucket, right? So one idea would be to buy 2 ninja, cut them both off about 80%, then rejoin them together so that you would have a much wider bucket. Expensive, i know, but...

Also, maybe make it thinner as well, so you'd want the front and back cutting off. A wide but thin bucket

I have the slimlime which is easy to fit in a ninja boab

The problem i had was the disc on the handle stops the tool going in far enough to not fall out

Which is why i cut a slot in it to fit in further

Right, I see. I think you cut the slot in your ninja much too far down then. should be easy enough to glue a sheet of back on though
