Winter cleaning

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Just need to protect everything from frost, especially your Ro system if you have one. Can't really help losing time here and there due to freezing temps unless you invest in a heated system. Sometimes even if your tanks not frozen, your hoses will when they are run out on freezing ground.

Protect ro with old blankets or take in house over night if really bad. If using a trolley or backpack then just take in house overnight.

Avoid porches and conservatories first thing on a morning as they freeze up with been unheated.

Has anyone thought about using a reptile heater and thermostat? I have a bearded dragon in a 4 foot wood vivarium and keeps it nicely at 84 degrees. All my RO equipment is in the shed so thought about sectioning off a part of it and putting a heat lamp in. Obviously wont need to go as high but on the lowest setting it may be good. Thoughts?

Also if the van is in a garage do you think that and blankets over the reel, pump, battery and hoses will suffice? Would foil blankets be better?

Only had 1 day out last winter because of water freezing on glass, put antifreeze in a bucket and done it traditional instead
