I'm as confused as others obviously are - hence no replies.

After having an extension fitted to my old pole allegedly taking it from 30 to 36 foot I took the sections apart to do some maintenance and found two sections have been shortened from 6 ft to 4 and a half ft any ideas why?

no the extension will go over the base section than put end cap on extension.

No the extension is exactly that to extend your current pole if you shorten the other sections then there is no point extending in the first place ?

Thanks I need to ring the company in question to ask why they reduced the size of sections 2&3 by 1and a half foot each thus reducing the pole length by 3 foot

I would imagine that if the pole is used then taking amount from each section is to strengthen by shortening. which improves stiffness.

It has happened in the past a pole I bought years an Elite but the guy realised what had happened phoned me apologised offered a replacement and a free 18ft composite pole. To go with my 35ft pole.

I would be straight onto the supplier and asking them pretty certain they would have known as pole sections typically get manufactured outside the UK then clamps are added in house back in the UK.
