Brass elbow leaking

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I had the same issue

Tried changing the big rubber washer that goes in the end and no change

Turned out to be the small one where the elbow swivels which isn't serviceable

Had to get a new one in the end

Have a look on ebay at hose reel swivels as they are the ones that never wear out but are expensive

Or just replace the cheap ones every few months

What's the expensive ones called?

Are we talking about standard hozelock type?

They are called hose reel swivels and are big bulky brass items usually found on cox reels and the like

For the expense it's probably better to use the brass elbows

Just an update. I managed to service the elbow today and it's working like new again. They are threadlocked but will give with enough pressure.
I rebuilt it with brand new rings, silicone grease and ptfe tape so it can be serviced again in the future.
The only tools needed were a vice and an Allen key.
