You may not have been thorough enough with the scrubbing and rinsing, these types of windows with the two top openers will be more of an issue if the windows have been cleaned thoroughly enough, giving the water time to run down on some which are more problematic can help and doubling back and just rinsing the lower pane and help ensure the windows come up 100%

Yeah it’s quite common to get that when you get two little openers with a big pane underneath.

To clean that window (and all yours windows with a wfp for the first time) give it a good thorough scrub, don’t hold back on the water for a first clean. Make sure you go up & down on that middle frame between the windows several times and rinse it, then clean the two opener windows, rinse them, then leave it. Leave it to drip and run, for as long as possible, if there’s a couple of windows like this one on the property, do the same, all the frames & the two panes above, but leave the big pane for now.

Then go back after however long, and clean the big lower pane, you may even need a cloth to wipe down water that’s about to run out of the gap between the two panes above. I’ve got a couple of jobs where I still have to do this every time still, Years later, but most are fine after the second clean onwards.

I just completely avoid the middle of the two top openers. I make sure the glass is clean, it's more important to get the glass right than the frames. Even when you scrub it thoroughly, 10 minutes after you have gone you will get one drip seemingly out of nowhere coming out from the gap between the two openers and ruining the 'clean' look of the big pane below.

I look at it from what I would want if I was the customer. That little bit of frame cleaned between the top openers and drips on the big glass pane below, or a slightly dusty, not noticeable bit of frame between the openers but a perfect clean glass panel below.

The only way to do everything perfect would be to use a hop up and clean that middle bit with a damp cloth.

Also when you rinse the glass on the top openers angle the brush 45 degrees away from the centre of the two [switch it over for each side], it keeps the water away from the middle which you need to avoid or else you will still have the problem.

some of these with the very old black seals will leave spotting regardless how many times you do them Keep an eye on them after they have dried. just tell the customer you will pop back later that day to see they are cleaned to a good standard and if no spotting even better

we used to call that type of window a smiley face, as an ex window fitter you can tell thats its a course of bricks short,(lintel is in line with the bricks),
the surveyer had erred on the side of caution, or not done a proper job, the fitters were cowboys, if you look at the transom- the bit that goes left to right it has a slight bow to it, hence the smiley face.
easily overcome with packing whilst fitting but sadly when i was fitting some 12 years ago there wasn't many who knew or used that method or many others aswell.
scrub and scrub those top lights and let the soap come out from the seals personally if it were me i would pour a little bit of household bleach onto the brush and scrub and rinse and then come back to it, it should be fine by then.thats the method i use and its worked for me-hope this helps

As @kevinc250 said the first clean is the most important one go over the frames several times then thorough rinse, if marks when drying then just go over the glass again and rinse that , it does take a while to learn how to clean difference types of window, but once that first clean is done well generally you shouldn’t have any further problems.
