    Hey Guys,

What system would you recommend to have fitted in your van to heat the water up, the safe way. What have you done, for those who have fitted heated systems?

    Thanks

like mark said there are some cheaper ways of doing it,

i just fitted a eccotemp L5 water heater.

then there are some slighly bigger ones that work the same as the L5

then there is the big boys systems

Difficult question to answer if you have never experienced hot/warm. Do you need to keep working at minus 5-1o or want hot for cleaning cons roofs etc. I need to remove mine in the summer to put in a 300L tank so my use of warm for example is just for 6 months. At minus 5-10 hot water can crack glass, most reccomend 20 degree temp above the ambient air so at minus 5 you may only need 15 degree luke warm.

Like to use the system for both winter and summer. Would not use it too hot during the winter months due to cracking the glass like Jeff said.

if you are on a budget and you got a combi boiler and you can use a di vessel and get hot water straight away it wont last to long but might get you a few hours work until weather improves

As you know i use a immersion heater and i fill for me it is my the best option .I heat it up at night when i need to not many times a year just for a few £ `s` while i am doing this it is keeping my van nice and warm so none of my tools freeze. It cost about £30 to install so very cheap
