How Do You Value A Round?

I have seen a round for sale in my area. The current owner is selling for ill heath reasons and has asked for a sale price of 10 times the monthly value. I would like to add the 200 customers to my rounds but feel that a multiple of 3-4 is closer to the true cost. Am I right in thinking this or completely wrongs? All suggestion welcome.

I really wouldnt pay 10 times the monthly value..... that means you'll be working these jobs until next June before you make any money! and thats if they all accept the change. TBH if he's ill, id wait for him to retire off and then just go and knock on his doors!!! Why give him 10 x the value! Madness!

If you dont want to do that id offer him 3 times top and tell him to take it or leave it!!

Dont forget.... you can emply somone to door knock for you and they only charge 2 x the clean value!!!!!!

10x is over the top, would need to be very good work to be even worth 3x

what you got to remember is that window cleaners think all rounds and second hand window cleaning gear is worth a fortune

if a round is worth 10 x its value and was a v good round then it would of proably been snatched up my other wc before he got to sell it,

what is he asking for the round

Tell him you'll take it out of his hands for 4x the value aslong as he sells in the next 3-4 weeks.

Any longer and customers may have started taking on new windy's and he'll be losing entitlement to the round.

Tell him that is the option so if he finds another sucker he does but he'll know it's unreasonable and you'll get true market value.

they seem to be asking from 2-5 cleans in leeds i have seen some going for 10 times i would pay more than 2 cleans you could pay all that and someone could come along and undercut you and take the lot it happens.

if hes in ill health already hes mite not be doing them all that much at the moment id find out were his round is and what streets then id go putting flyers out there

I think 2x is probably its value. As mentioned you can employ a canvasser to create the round and pay them 2x the first clean. I am going to speak to him and see if I can talk some sense into him. The problem I see is getting him to lower his expectation to a normal level. Wish me luck.
