how much water do I need?

Hi guys just switched over from trad to wfp I do on average 12_15 houses a day how many liters of water would I need for days work many thanks guys

I would say you need about of 25 litres per standard house. Some more, some less.

Its a hard one to answer. It depends on various factors including house size and the level of dirt.

Also, people starting WFP generally use more water than an experienced operator. You need experience to see how little time and water you can get away with yet still have lovely clean windows.

I use about 500+ litres for a full days work (one man).

Again, it depends on how fast you go if you will use the same amount of water per window as I do. I can't tell you the number of houses as I do more bigger houses. If I did 12-15 of those per day correctly, I would be a happy man [emoji3] As well as being very tired at the end of the day [emoji42] .

For us, more than 25 litres - we live on the north east coast so need to spend more time washing and rinsing than when we work inland. So water usage will depend on your round and where it is. Doing street houses next to a main road we will use more water than the ones behind because of grim deposited by passing traffic.

However we do all windows wfp, so just doing tops will reduce this. But it won't be long before you realise that switching to trad for bottoms is a waste of time. Your customer will also start moaning after a few cleans that the upstairs windows stay cleaner longer than the downstairs windows.

We have found that 500 liters is more than enough for a single operator. On occasion my SIL will use his full 500 liters but he mainly uses 350 to 400 litres a day. He fills up at lunch time, but depending on where he is, he has enough reserve to get through the rest of the afternoon if need be.

If I put another van on the road, (we have 3 - 2 with 500 liter tanks for single operators and mine with a 650 liter twin operator,) I will fit it with a 500 liter tank. I will also buy a van that will comfortably carry that payload.
