This will help you.I got this brodex tank yesterday, it has warning about the pressurised RO housing. Does anyone know if there is a specific method to replacing the RO filters or just undo the bolts?
They have their own YouTube channel with instructional videos;
As respectfully as I can say this, that sounds like quite a basic question. Before changing membranes and filters (which can become pretty expensive) might I suggest you have a hunt through their YouTube and others. Try and get a full understanding of the RO, what it does etc. Just changing the filter is a waste of money if you actually need to change your resin for example.
There is an older video from Mark Munro with this type of housing. When I was first changing my RO membrane I remember seeing itHe has the older champ housing. Basically, the process is exactly the same; it's just the end-caps and how they are secured that is different.
The tip I got from that video was to use a central heating radiator on/off valve to pull the end cap off.There is an older video from Mark Munro with this type of housing. When I was first changing my RO membrane I remember seeing it
That was the one. I couldn't get it to load yesterday when I looked.The tip I got from that video was to use a central heating radiator on/off valve to pull the end cap off.

I found it and loaded it fine this morning on my phone.That was the one. I couldn't get it to load yesterday when I looked.
I remember when I first started I couldn't find what I would call a good instructional video. I harassed you with a lot of stupid questions. Now time has gone on I look back at these videos and realise they were actually very good. One in particular from Doug. The issue is the system is very complex. What a newbie really needs is an upclose and personal video like Mark did showing the fittings close up mixed with a full instructional video like Doug did that explains things in depth.The tip I got from that video was to use a central heating radiator on/off valve to pull the end cap off

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good instruction video, as he didn't go into detail on which way the membrane should go back in. Even though the instructions I attached on an earlier post are very clear, I would still recommend that we take photos of the membrane when removing it so when we put the new one in, we put the right end in first.
My membrane has been in for 12 years. When I come to replace it, I think I need to find a replacement O ring just in case the existing one breaks up from age. I have a Champ membrane housing.
What I find so motivating is guys like you who started small with a plan and then have grown over the years. Thanks Spruce, that means a lot. I’m genuinely thankful to yourself and several other members for the support I’ve received. Particularly to you when it comes to technical support. For absolutely no personal gain you spend a lot of your time putting together comprehensive advice. One things for sure, most of us are glad you aren’t amongst the forum members who have stopped posting!What I find so motivating is guys like you who started small with a plan and then have grown over the years. Most of us started knowing very little about WFP, and we had to learn from each other. I appreciate the input I received all those years ago from forum members, most of whom have long since stopped posting for various reasons. I also try to learn from the bad experiences other's have when dealing with or by suppliers, you included.
I'm like you, as I do need to see how something works physically. Thank goodness for YouTube. Once we have the basics sorted, then it's much easier to ask others for ideas on how to improve the process. I don't think there are any stupid questions when you are trying to understand a process that will work for you.
A stupid question is one that someone asks who hasn't given any thought to the subject he or she is asking about. "How can I become an astronaut?" would be a stupid question for me to ask at my age and state of health. However, for a young, fit, healthy person, that wouldn't be a stupid question, provided it was raised in the right place, such as with NASA. It would be a stupid question if I asked it on this forum.

Someone was commented that most window cleaners offer good advice based on their experience when asked, but we may have to ignore some of that good advice as it doesn't fit into our process for whatever reason. Because we chose to ignore it doesn't mean it isn't good advice. Who knows; we might have to consider it further down the line.
