How to get air out of your system

I've always had a few splutters throughout the day with my system but today has been a bubble onslaught! More or less every window foamed up with bubbles /emoticons/unsure.png

Is there anyway to prevent this or rectify it?

I assumed I'd had something on my brush head to begin with but it continued all day. My TDS is 0. I increased the calibration on my pump by a few notches and increased my flow but had the same situation.

Know it's not a major deal providing the rinse is good but it's slower and more annoying with it spluttering out and so on.

It was my first day back to work so I guess it's been idle mostly for 10 days bar just turning it on for a few mins to keep it working whilst I had some time off but I wondered if there's anything I can do to improve the situation.

(Side note) I'VE JUST READ THAT CHANGING FILTERS CAN CAUSE MICRO BUBBLES FOR A FEW DAYS - I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE THIS LAST TIME BUT IS THIS A POSSIBILITY?

Bubbles in your tank shouldn't cause the problem as they normally only form on surfaces. Sounds like your pump may be sucking air in somehow. I'd check your intake hose connections. Then disconnect the output hose and run the pump flat out till any air is expelled and it's running smooth, then reconnect the hose. (You may have to connect a short length of hose to direct the water out of your vehicle) Sometime when the pump is running with back pressure from a long hose connected it can't generate the flow needed to clear all the air out of itself. I get this with my trolley. Sometimes, it won't clear an airlock at all till I remove the hose.Then it clears in about 2 secs.

All my internals are inside my system box so nothing should have perforated but I'll check the connections in the daylight tomorrow.

Also though I filled my backpack up (using a short hose from my outlet) to do one job today and that also foamed so I don't think it's the pump itself. Must be the actual water? I did put 300ml of isopropanol in it the other day to help with the icing so I'm wondering if that's somehow causing bubbles.

I sorted airlock issues out by making a short length, 6 inch, with a coupling on one end and open end on other.

Every time I changed barrels stick it on end of outlet pipe from pump and let it run for a few seconds till it runs smooth without sputtering, then connect up and go.

Isopropanol will be causing the bubbles. It will get less over several refills. You just have to live with it and it shouldn't effect the quality of the clean.

300ml is rather a lot in your tank although it would have done zip to prevent the system freezing.

No everything dried fine when I went back and checked. I read 10% to get it to prevent icing at -2 and that's about as cold as it got last night.

That being said I've decided not to add it again cos I can't see 350L of water solidifying in England /emoticons/biggrin.png

Once I've moved I'll hopefully have a driveway for an oil radiator but for now it's a case of just dealing with the cold. I worked at -4 without the tank freezing over in December so the ISO was more of a test (and a waste of money).
