i used to do roofing before window, and rule of thumb is with a flat roof, if you can see the "Ribbs" i.e the roof joists dont stand on it as the decking the felts on is rotten, if not happy days. Also if the roof feels spongy under foot thats a sign to be carfull also, hope this helps /emoticons/smile.png

Had a chat with the custy this morning and explained how it can't be cleaned without going on the roof. She was totally understanding and now wants to track down the builder to ask their opinion. Offered to reduce the quote I'd given her as I hadn't done the full job but she insisted on paying in full as so pleased with the work I'd done. Also wants me to do the rest regularly regardless of the roof or not.

dont walk it- the customer told you not to,thats final in my opinion. if you ignore and it ever springs a leak YOU will be who they come after,possibly years after you stop going there .

these are the type of jobs at first you agonise over, every job and detail gets to you eventually as you get more custies/confidence you will just say either i get up there and clean it or i cant do it and be ok with either reply.
