90 degree brass hose connectors

Hello everyone,

Just checking if anyone has used the hose connector with the barb attachment as in the bottom of the photo?

I use the one on the top as I'm sure most do but I tend to get through 2 per year as eventually they start to drip and then as it increases I tighten up now and then until it's very tight, still dripping and dare not tighten anymore as it will damage the plastic spindle.

At £24.36 you can buy 3 of the other type but just wondering if it's worth a try or if anyone else has used this one or a different type of fitting to there hose reel.

If you mean the thread on the brass elbow is dripping then I just wrap the plastic thread on hose reel with PTFE Tape only on my second one after 4 1/2 years .

Mine leaks on the swivel part right next to thread. As it turns sometimes it will drip more.
