Rectus Fittings

WCF

Help Support WCF:

i bodged mine mate. small hose inside one of each then sum jubilee clips and i dont get leaks. /emoticons/smile.png

i had some of them, the black bit breaks off if you drag them about along the floor.

I would use a female fitting on the 8mm hose

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/EZ-Snap_Range.html (link is messing about /emoticons/sad.png (EZ-Snap™ Female End-Stop Coupling 8mm barb)

That way if your hose comes disconnected you wont be pumping out water.

I also find its better walking through houses with the pipe (no drips)

Make sure you buy the 8mm BARB

Use jubilee clips for the love of god!!!

Thats the 8mm hose sorted.

Now you need to buy on of these

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/ez-snapmale-tail.html (id go with 5mm for a better fit)

That will go into the pole hose.

Everything will be a tight fit.

So boil some water (enough for a cuppa as well /emoticons/smile.png) Place hose into boiling water for a few seconds and makes the job easier.

for the pole hose (6mm) You can use these

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/inner-ring-o-clip-hose-clamp-stainless-steel.html

As I say for the 8mm hose, use jubilee clips!

I would also invest in one of these

them balls are worth there money, i bought one a few weeks ago. i used to get my connectors scraping the ground etc and coming undun on paving when i tugged it.

What will I need to connect 100m of 8mm hose to 6mm pole hose? Totally confused.
Rectus couplings are good quality; you need 8mm hose tail to fit onto you main hose & 6mm hose tail plug to fit the pole hose. Hose tail sizes don’t matter the coupling & plug with fit/join together.

The link below is the best prices I have found for original Rectus 21 couplings, go other items to find the 6mm plug.

The other link is for Velcro; cut 2 x 12” strips of Velcro and wrap around each hose near where you put the Rectus 21 this will reduce coupling wear. Or you can go to Halfords and buy a 5m strip of Velcro.
