What insurance do I get

Hi all so as I'm new to owning a business I'm unsure of what insurance ei should be getting I know the obvious of liability insurance but is there anything else I should look at?

Providing you are operating as a sole trader then all you need is P L Insurance .

The law requires you to hold public liability insurance.

When you grow and need help you will also need to get Employee Liability insurance.

I use Gleaming insurance for all my needs.

Yea iv had a quote from them 15 pound a month for 1,000,000 worth of cover there's no extra insurance or certification u need for ladder work or roof work?

These are questions you need to ask them in specific regards to your policy quote.

Mine covers working on roofs up to 25m high.

I'll have a chat with them I'm still only at the business plan stage hoping to have a loan agreed in next few weeks then I can start sorting out insurance and what not cheers for the advice

Don't know how I got away with it but I worked nearly two years before I got pl. It was only when my father in law started to work with me and pointed out the damage I could do. Added personal accident Insurance shortly after in case I broke an arm or leg falling off ladder. It gives you peace of mind knowing you're covered.
