An existing customer has asked to do inside swell as outside on her next clean. I charge £15 as it's a fairly standard four bed house with easy access etc. Is it normal practice to just double the price to £30 for this one-off job, or are there other factors I should consider?

  2. Some charge double I sometimes charge 1.5 times the rate as double can be a bit much. It just depends on the job. Get them to remove everything from the window sill before you arrive. This also takes away the risk of causing damage to them. :)

Normal practice to charge 1.5 to 2x for interiors as they take longer and often involve moving around furniture, ornaments and other crud. Plus you can't splash water around inside someones house.

Double just for the interior? Or double as in double the exterior amount for in ad out?

Most of my customers will pay the same for inside as outside.. Some I will tell 1.5 of exterior, so £15 exterior would mean £22.50 for interior = £37.50 and would maybe say sure call it £35 :)

If I know they are smokers it will always be 1.5... Interior windows can be worse, make sure you bring a scraper with you

i just chage the same as the outside for the inside, so if outside was £10 then inside will be £10.
also like jamie said make sure they move anything thats on the cills to make it better and safer for you!

Bit ofwhite vinigar in the water for the smokers does the job, I charge the same as the outside but they have to clear the sills
