installing water tank in finance van.

Hi Guys just a quick question, I am looking to install my first WFP system in my van. i have recently took out a new van on finance. was just wondering if anyone knew the ins and outs of drilling through the chassis of the van etc? thanks in advance.

Depends what you mean by 'on finance'.

If you have on Contract Hire, which is a lease, then you will have a problem putting the van back to original at the end of the lease when you hand the van back to the finance house.

If you just drill holes through the van floor, then you could return these to 'original' but using blanking grommets. If you drill these either side of the chassis then you can run a piece of high tensile chain from one high tensile bolt to the other under the chassis.

I would remove the ply flooring and paint it with protectakote. Return the plylining to the van at the end of the contract, noting exactly which screws go where.

If you have the van on any other form of finance where the van becomes yours at the end of the finance agreement, then its up to you.
