Hi Lads,
Ive been cleaning windows since 2008 when I started part time, Google started dishing out great advice to me from windowcleaningforums.co.uk in 2012 when I went full time.
Ive tried being an accountant, tried being a sport scientist and tried being a retailer. Window cleaning always stuck around as a part time business and eventually became full time.
After 4 years of lurking i think it's about bloody time I pull finger, log on and say thanks to all you lads for sharing.
Spent half me life near Durham and half my life as a Kiwi. The verbal accent changed ages ago but I still "think" leek a Geordie so apologies in advance for mixing the lingo. Im sure one dee I'll mak up me mind wer yem is.
Window cleaning is generally done max 3 monthly in NZ and is more of a luxury purchase than in UK. Maybe it's our smaller cities but most houses here don't need a 2/4 week clean unless they are by the sea.
I do WFP outside, (think I was the 2nd pure water operator in the country, after a more recent expat but can't be 100% sure) and trad inside (most customers get in/out each time.) I also do pressure washing (21liter per minute on trailer)
Winter time I mostly work solo, summer time I employ 2 or 3 part timers.
Thanks again for all the stuff I've picked up over the years. Hopefully I can chip in with something useful one day.
Regards, Andrew - WindowGleam.co.nz
