did not realise how much there fees have increased,  on a £7.50 clean   they have deducted 28p    a big difference from  07p     may start pushing D.D. Payments,  get the whole £s

I just get customers to bank transfer most are good at paying others can take while. Thought about direct debit but thought if your running late they might be annoyed if money comes out but you’ve not been yet

yes same here,     You can always give cash back after you add up cleans every 6 month or yearly,    they usually get around 14 cleans a year if monthly,  you may be early on rounds.   so all will be upto date .

I have bacs . paypal,      when they remember to pay

How do you manage 14 cleans in 12 months ???? Most of us only work a maximum of 48 weeks per  year

GoCardless typically doesn't work like the usual direct debit in as much as payment is only requested after each completed clean, it can be set up as a plan were it comes out on a set date every month for example, but to me for us windys it's pointless as we will end up owing the custy money as our job is weather dependant, plus holidays etc.

I had my first email yesterday from GC after the first month of the new fees, total fees paid last month was £80.94 ? just as well I have increased my prices and pricing new jobs higher, so this covers the increase.

Just think how many hours you could have paid  someone working to collect that money for you it would be far cheaper , this is why we don’t use gc it would cost me a fortune, my wife spends about 4 hours per month sorting this kind of thing so that’s equivalent to paying her £20 per hour ????

I don't accept Bank Transfers too much trouble chasing, just increase prices for Go Cardless seems fair the customer pays there fair share. My Go Cardless is linked to Aworka so it's easy.

The money is in the bank with no hassle also I know it's always coming in every week without chasing it, far less expensive than discovering a broken suspension spring on the van this morning and not been able to work for possibly 2 days, the garage is jam packed with work as well, but he fully understands my position so is going to get it sorted as fast as he can.

I am sure your wife will want paying £20 an hour now, I'll copy and paste this and send an email to your company ?

In the grand scheme of things it's peanuts, won't make or break your business.  What I like about GC is that you take the money from the customers bank account, it's not the customer sorting it out when they get round to it.  As it's you taking the money out, the customers is less likely to be thinking 'oooohhh, might have to cut back on this window cleaning, doesn't seem long ago since I last paid them £25...' instead the money is just going out of their account mixed in with all the other bills, so it's sort of quietly being paid in the background without making a big fuss about it.

I've got two bank transfer customers and I've yet to get round to checking that they have paid, that was 3 weeks ago, be a nightmare if they were all bank transfer.  For the peace of mind and simplicity GC is worth every penny.

I do wonder where the price will end up though.  I expect the prices will rise to similar to what Paypal takes which would be 20p + 3.5% so £10 would then be costing 55p.  £20 would be 90p.  It would be harder to accept paying 5% each day of my hard work for transfer fees.  Hopefully competition will keep the price low.
