    Few questions about the photos-

Is the ladder ok? I mean it's leant against the guttering, won't it break it?

The sill cloths are in jaws which I use to wipe down stuff after I have been over them with a sponge, I usually wrap three of these cloths together then put them in the jaws and put a smithering of water, is that right?

Your not ment to put them on the guttering,

1- it could break, costing you money to repair.
2- could break and ladder then slip so you fall.
3- ladder can slip without breaking guttering.

even with that bit of wood in the guttering it could break the guttering . As guttering gets older it becomes very brittle so be careful

When was the last time you inspected that ladder? I personally would bin it as the bottom tread is bent.

I'm guessing never, there's no inspection tag fitted to the ladder! Lol

I agree, get a stand off, £20 is well worth it, you'll make that back on your first gutter clean
