Little put off by it to be honest - few negative reviews on the lid etc ... But I've seen negative reviews on the gardiners one aswell, although I've been informed gardiners have solved the minor problem on there's

I drilled a hole in my lid. Been running 4 of these since release. Perfect.

Before that used every 16L 18L WCW backpack made. Big boy is by far the best.

The only gripe is yeah the lid. The thread ain't great. But I drilled a 35 mm hole in mine and mounted it on a trolley.

Cheers mate, I've been having a good look at that over the past weeks, info more user info on it np be great mate... I've been using the esr16 (blue one from John hewitt) near enough the same as the original wcw one but after 3 years its time to get a new one...

Does your backpack in the link have a mesh filter? I find it really helps stopping all the bits getting in the water and helps with the issue of blocked pipes on the brush head ( hope that makes sense)

What's wrong with the lid of the big boy ? I've got one and never had a problem with it , and it has a filter but god knows where the bits come from its really weird!
