As some of you may know I've been banging on about starting up for a while now. The original plan was to start up along side my work until I had enough window cleaning to hand my notice in. I've just about finished sorting my van etc so was due to do my first bit of canvassing this week.

Go into work to find out today that 25 of us are being laid off, no redundancy as not been there long enough. Bit of a *******, but could be the kick up the **** I need.

Not the ideal time of year to be canvassing for new work I suppose but needs must. At least I will be even more determined now!

It may be blessing in disguise

Sorry to hear you've been laid off, but keep your head up and hit the canvassing hard ;)

As long as the weather is not atrocious mate then any time of year is OK to canvass,

I like Autumn time for it, just like hitting the streets around then I guess.

You will be fine mate, the future is yours!

Yeah the world is your lobster;)

I wouldn't say "could be" the kick up the **** you need
You are now in the position that you need to give this 100% from now onwards or get to the jobcentre

Sounds a bit harsh but that's reality

Everything you do from now on needs to be aimed at getting more customers

Doesn't matter if you have to go sick from work if you get some jobs on as you are gonna lose the job anyway

Not like you need a reference to give to your new boss is it?

Seriously you will be fine if you get your nut down and get stuck in..good luck mate

I'm snowed under with emails and phone call sat the moment. And then when christmas comes you'll get all the folk that want thier windows cleaning before the party they are throwing. And then in the new year when the sun bounces off the snow and the dirt shines through the windows, they'll be calling. And then when spring kicks in you'll be in prime season. Good luck fella.
