Maybe silly question

Not sure if it is a silly question or not but it is baffling me I've just moved over to ro 4040 tap water going into it is 182 im producing pure water fine I am down to 6 after the ro but my question is the waste water coming out is 335 why is that. Not that it matters to me because it is waist I was just curious. Thanks

Because the impurities you've removed from the input water are in the waste, so without doing the calculation you're running roughly 60/40 waste to pure. If you were 50/50 then your waste TDS would be circa 360

Basically you are condensing the waist in to a smaller amount of water so the tds level will rise
