Hi guys. Basically I bought a pole second hand yesterday with a gooseneck on it I don't really like the gooseneck part on it.

So how easy is it to chop the end of the pole of and the modify it to a plastic angle adapter I will need a screw on pole end section too do I bond this on?

You shouldn't need to chop mate I'm sure they are interchangeable

How is the goose neck attached? Do you really need to cut it off?

The goose neck is attached to a metal collar. The gooseneck itself has a thread on it and screws into the collar

So will the angle adapter not go onto the collar?

You should be able to pull out the metal collar (try heating it up with boiling water or something) and the replace with a collar for plastic angle adapter.

What make of pole is it?

No because the thread are the wrong wat around

Yeh I have a metal collar on mine with a male end on I'm guessing urs is female, I would say to do it properly you need a new collar

get yourself a female copper to male iron from the plumbers merchants screw it on with some ptfe that should do you for now until you can get the correct fitting

Mark loves the plumber merchants, I wouldn't have a clue if I walked in one of them.

Il go and look i only use this on one job hence buying a second hand pole
