So, ive been looking for a bigger van for a while

found one this morning, to cut a long story short i spent 2 hours looking at it, test driving it, going to bank for money, filling all paper work in etc.

Anyway it was 5 mins from my house so the guy offered to follow me back and drop it off

great i said

he chucked keys to young lad and said follow this guy back with van.

so we gets in, pulls out of compound, CRUNCH!

i knew what had happened straight away, turned round went back, young lad was gutted.

Hed smashed all side door in and scraped right down side, was a right mess.

Bloke say erm ill just give you your money back mate

couldnt make it up

OOPS ........

Has the young lad asked you for a job window cleaning yet  ......I HAVE A FEELING HE MAYBE LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB :giggle: /emoticons/biggrin.png .

I recon fate playing its part, maybe you went meant to have that van, maybe something major and expensive to fix was going to happen to it in the future when too late to take back. Maybe I just talking a load of old bullockx.

Either way unlucky fella.

Sorry to hear that mate.

Got two friends down here who have bought new vans and had crashes within 48 hours......

One was a 65 reg new transit custom. Hadn't had an accident for 31 years and caused £10k of damage at 15 mph........how I laughed.......only cause he ribbed me when I had a scrape last year. He is my supplier though so not going to cross the line too far!

unlucky m8 beter luck next time a /emoticons/biggrin.png :lipssealed: . at least u got ur money bk just out of intrest what van was it?

O u c h is all i can say

I saw an accident 1 day when a woman ploughed her brand new beemer into a lamp post on a traffic island within sight of the specialist cars dealership where she bought it

That was a serious rolling around on the floor moment when we heard her other half say it

He was going ballistic and we were cracking up

It was a transit, not a brand new one mind.

No, this dozy lad didnt get as far as the road, he crunched it into the compound gate post as we was coming out, obviously wasnt used to driving a big van and didnt swing out to take the turn just turned the wheel and squashed the side in.

With my first round in Jersey I hired a lad to join the team, gave him my Escort 75 van (at the time quite a prize) and he decided to stop at the corner shop and get a drink on the way to first job so he wouldn't have to leave the round to grab a drink on a break. Fair play I thought. Never thought he was going to use the wall of the car park to stop my van before he even cleaned the first window.

I decided accidents happen, kept him on. A week later he puts a ladder through a window, oh well, accidents happen!! Two weeks latter he turns up drunk!! Well that was enough, fired on the spot.

to be honest i wasnt that bothered, i only went for it because it was local i could probably find a better one
I love the look of the new transit customs, seriously thinking of getting a brand new one in the spring. Why do you like em adamangler?
