New Exceed tubeless kit

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I use it. Just switched over from the old tubeless kit which was proving problematic because the EZ Snap connectors would jam open if you didn’t push them on correctly first time. At least now you can use two hands to connect them. Still use one hand to disconnect. You probably can just leave a section of hose out the end with a EZ snap connector but I think the Exceed Protection Pod does protect the connector and the way it’s shaped allows it to extend and retract into the pole without any snags. I like disconnecting it when I’m finished the house and walking back, without dragging it back all coiled up. And then just reeling it in. It does what its supposed to.

Like Iron Giant, I use the 6” tail method but with JG connectors instead. Using only a trolley and a 15m length of pole hose most of the time, I don’t really require a water stop type connection so JG’s do the biz for me.

Does using the jg fittings work okay.

Does it disconnect at all when in use?

I've just got a ova8 pole so I'm hoping this method will work with it

Gardiners newer goosenecks use JG connectors to connect pole hose to gooseneck, the pole hose no longer goes through the gooseneck. They use JG type push-fit to barb adapters (https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/push-fit-stem-enlarger-1.html).
Not sure how good they are just on hose, you might have to use something like a Stem to Bark adapter - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/push-fit-red-8mm-stem-to-5mm-barb.html

Not had many issues with them disconnecting especially if you use a JG hosetail on the hose in the pole. These have a little collar that prevents the accidental release of the connector

Having to use two hands to connect it seems like it's gone a bit backward to me, I made up the original system with the bung and bought the rectus sleeve

I can see why they have done it that way now because of the new Gardiner goosenecks

Agree with @Marko067 he got me into them years ago never looked back since never disconnect and cheap as chips especially if you buy them direct from China Aliexpress.
